The Northern Crops Institute is now offering an on-demand Barley to Beer course. This online course aims to provide participants with information on how to successfully choose high quality malting barley, as well as a basic understanding of the malting process and the brewing of beer. Registration includes networked lectures and video tours that participants can work through at their own pace.
Course content includes:
- Module 1 is dedicated to barley production and its impact on beer quality.
- Module 2 is dedicated to the brewing process, and how different techniques affect beer flavor and consistency.
- Module 3 takes a deep dive into the heart of beer – the malt.
